The Blessings Of Birth

Providing Breastfeeding Education & Counselling/Support, also providing HypnoBirthing classes & Birthing/Postpartum Doula Services.

Hello everyone. My name is France and I am a HypnoBirthing Educator, a nurse, a doula and a Breastfeeding Educator and Counselor. I teach the classes with my husband Matthew who is also a HypnoBirthing educator and he provides first time dads and birth partners the support they need.

Who is having their 1st baby? How about their 2nd baby? How about their 3rd of 4th baby?

First time mothers and fathers are excited yet nervous as soon as they find out that they are pregnant.

Is this true so far?

This is due to birth usually being perceived as a painful and stress filled experience that is handed to us generation to generation.

Have any of your family members, coworkers, circle of friends or a complete stranger try to tell you their own birth experience? How does that make you feel?

I will tell you this; everyone has their own birth experience. You will have yours that is designed for you – THAT IS FOR YOU. This is a big reason why a unique program, as HypnoBirthing, is developed by Marie Mongan, to prepare you for that day holding a strong foundation knowing your body and knowing what to do during the process of labor.

Our goal working together is to enable you, your partner, and your baby to have a relaxing and comfortable birth using the techniques of guided imagery, deep breathing, massage, visualization and self-hypnosis.

Hypnosis is a naturally induced state of relaxed concentration - a state of mind and body in which we communicate suggestions to our subconscious mind. This part of our mind influences what we think, how we feel, and the choices we make. It can actually control pain. There is no magic to achieving success with self-hypnosis. Almost anyone who chooses to can reach deep relaxation and redirected focus.

When having your baby with the use of HypnoBirthing, what you will experience is similar to the daydreaming or focusing that occurs when you are engrossed in a book or staring at a fire. You will be conversant and in good spirits - totally relaxed, but fully in control. You will be aware of your body's contractions, but you will be able to determine the extent to which you feel the surge. You will experience your birthing in an atmosphere of calm and relaxation, without fear and tension that causes pain. Your body's natural anesthesia (endorphins) will replace the stress hormones that cause pain.

HypnoBirthing® is as much as a philosophy as it is a technique. It is a rewarding, relaxing & stress-free method of birthing. It is based on the belief that babies should come into this world with gentility, calm and joy.

When moms are properly prepared physically, mentally and emotionally for birthing – she can experience the joy of birthing her baby in an easier & more comfortable & even pain free.

This program focuses on techniques that you can use during your labor - but not only that, you can use this even after you birth your baby (and I can further explain that later on). With the help of these classes, you and your partner will be able to ENJOY the birth of the newest member of your family. You will be prepared both physically and emotionally for having the best possible birth.

In other childbirth classes, they discuss further on medications being used, vaginal versus cesarean, complications, and other things.

àIn this program, we do discuss about your pregnancy, what to expect from your primary care providers and hospital procedures but not to the extent. Although, we do have other types of information not discussed from the other childbirth classes. This program mainly focus on what you and your body can do to have a safe, comfortable, easier and stress-free birth, and even pain free.

It is up to you. Few of the pregnant moms that I have taught did take them before & after. Very few were taking it in conjunction with HypnoBirthing classes. Although, what happens is that they take the other classes and they back out because they decide not to listen to other information that will increase their fear of giving birth.

Most pregnant moms take this class before their 2nd trimester & even up to their last trimester - depending on how soon they found out that there is a wonderful way of birthing their baby. It is all about practice, practice, and practice.

Some of my pregnant moms who took the class a little early, I do give them a no-charge review class – they join my group class if they took private classes before hand.

I only had 1 pregnant mom who took the class 1 month before her due date. Everything went fine. It’s just that her husband was in the military and did not know if he will be in the country for the birth of their child. But, everything came into place.

I am a nurse and I am a big advocate for both baby and mom, even dads/birth partners. I have a 3 year old son whom I birthed not using HypnoBirthing® as I did not know that it even existed. I am also a Doula, both birthing and postpartum, to further help and support my moms and babies, even dads too before, during, and after birth. I am also a Breastfeeding Educator and Counselor, for the benefit of my HypnoBirthing® families. I wanted and needed to teach this wonderful childbirth program for new moms like I was or even 2nd or 3rd time moms wanting and needing that exceptional birthing experience that most women desires to have.

I also give a free seminar at Babies R’ Us for those who would like to meet me & learn more information about the program. I am at Babies R’ US every last Tuesday of every month at 6pm.
